So, I have found this forum, and it seems like it is based on a good idea, but there does not seem to be much happening.

May I suggest you set up a few more sub-fora?

I'm up for a bit of a razzle, Hairloon.  Me, I'd love sections dedicated to mega democracy issues like global capitalism, climate change, petrolhead's detox, new forms of social/community engagement [intentional communities?] and the likes.  Many national and local policy issues flow from these.

Also:  a brainstorming forum dedicated to ideas/best practice for getting folks to use their vote.  I've got one for starters:  a site where one can pledge the number of non-voting friends/family one hopes to persuade to vote this time round [with a list of good reasons for backup].  A visual aid [barometer?] notches up as pledges get fulfilled.

Also:  how about a 'soap box' section for sharing opinions, a 'sofa section' for mooting ideas, an 'interesting links' section for sharing internet groups/fora, etc.

Will this do? confuse

Yes, something like that.  Specifically what is entirely up to the management.

Basically, what any forum needs is people posting on it.  Some people will be put off if they cannot find the right section to post in.
