Large scale lorry parking needed to avoid disruption when ports/channel tunnel service interrupted.
This area has volunteered for major expansion in terms of housing. We need this to be of a high standard, and well thought out, sustainable development. Most housing stock locally is substandard, this is an oppurtunity for a great improvement. How about opening up the design process to a competition? This has been a great success elsewhere.
New industry needed locally, since the paper mill and engineering works shut, the only local large employers are the ferries, harbour board, Saga and Pfizers, with the last two not really local for Dover.
