hi im 46 ,a 4 year apperentice trained site joiner ,unemployed due to layoffs in october 2008 , looking and applying and ringing for jobs every day since layed off ,on jobseekers as i live on my own in a rented cottage in baildon .NOW my issue is that shipley job centre has pushed me on to one of theses training courses ,which is keighley training centre on malbourgh st ,all well and good ,but i went yesterday and walked out as its a 26 week course and the staff treat you as if your infants ,its full of delinqants and school leavers whom have never been to school ,now yesterday the training were quiz test eh ! yes and one of the questions were if a nut falls from a tree then who does it belong too ... NOW this is supose to be a training centre that gets you back into work WHAT even the your young advisers at job centre ie shipley talk down on you and there only children them selfs yet, its all wrong i have worked 30 years of my life gaining to be made feel worthless and talked to as if im an infant ,im angry over the whole system the goverment needs to looking into these training and job centres programs , for example all jobs and employers i have spoke too ,for jobs there asking for certs health&safty cards ,cards for machines to use ,ie chain saws ,strimmers , laths and so on .THESES are none existant in theses training centres so how can you land a job from these centres if all your doing is mind game quizzes / NOW with me walking out i will lose my home as they will stop my jobseekers ,weres the justice i want work i need work to pay my bills and keep a roof above me ,not to go and be treated as an infant again in the job centres and theses training centres
