Candidates: Susan Kramer (Lib Dem) Current MP. Still awaiting reply on policies
Zac Goldsmith (Cons) Campaigned to protect small shops and shopping areas and to make it easier for customers to use them (esp parking).Believes the LA could do much more to protect gardens and green spaces (inclusing playing fields). Says he is passionate supporter of direct democracy – specifically the use of referendums locally and nationally, which he claims Kramer disagrees with. He also says he campaigned for a new secondary school in North Kingston and was branded ‘deeply irresponsible’ by Kramer. He claims she has since changed her mind and is supporting a new school.
Eleanor Tunnicliffe (Lab) Still haven't contacted yet.
James Page (Green) Haven't contacted either.
Sorry, haven't had much time yet but this is what I've gathered so far.
Susan Kramer today spoke in Parliament in an adornment debate on Kingston Hospital. Although this view is shared by many other candidates, she reports that other Cons candidates have spoken against saving the hospital.
